His Inheritance.
It’s one thing to be given a gift by GOD and another to actually use it consistently for all of your life. What better example than this Solomon guy of how not to use a gift given to you by GOD for your father’s sake? He inherited more wealth from David (GOD’s man) than anyone of us can imagine yet what did he do with it? He had no wars yet what did he do with it? I think the man is waste of grace and low key hope he’s in hell as the cautionary tale he became (probably just my wishful thinking) but his legacy is atrocious on that we can all agree.
That legacy became clear when I learned that some people actually love him to the point of worshipping him, I still burst out laughing every time I consider it. Ask the man himself what he thinks of his performance by the life he’d lived and all he had to say in the end was “vanity upon vanity equals vanity. No shit Sherlock. All that wisdom and that’s all you realized?
“To whom much is given, more is expected.
every Wise person who’s ever existed
The Lesson.
We all exist for GOD’s pleasure. Make the most of the blessings of GOD to you. If the wisest man took all of his life to figure that out then I don’t think he’s worth modeling your existence after. All he had to do was maintain the greatness in heaven’s sight that he’d inherited and the dude couldn’t even do that. Emulate him at your own peril.
What a waste of space.
