“It’s very subtle, but those statements are not entirely the same are they? Especially when the former is weaponized against a group of people. I’ve learned that not every saying God is talking about YHWH, just like not everyone saying Christ means Jesus. These people are sneaky and sometimes blind. Either way there’s no excuse for using such a statement as a dog whistle to attack people. I’ve seen the tweets, them guys at The Daily Wire are right on this one. Context matters and if it only amplifies the hateful agenda expressed through weaponizing such a righteous statement of those who seek to harm Jews even if only verbally, it should be discouraged.
Let’s be honest most people saying Christ is king will have a problem stating that Jesus is Lord. It is disingenuous at best to conveniently ignore this truth. The next time someone’s tweet of this trend crosses your timeline, ask them which Christ they are referring to and if they wouldn’t mind stating that Jesus Christ is King and or Lord and watch as the true posture of some of the hearts using this phrase as cover for their hatred is revealed. Don’t allow people co-opt your Saviors praise for their own nefarious needs.
Sadly, I believe antisemitism will always exist in one form or another but still see to it that you don’t fan its flames no matter what seemingly benign form it takes.”
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 1 John 2:18.
