Explains Why We’re So Hated.
20 For every wrongdoer hates (loathes, detests) the Light, and will not come out into the Light but shrinks from it, lest his works (his deeds, his activities, his conduct) be exposed and reproved.
21 But he who practices truth [who does what is right] comes out into the Light; so that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are—wrought with God [divinely prompted, done with God’s help, in dependence upon Him].
John Chapter 3:20-21
- Global Christian persecution makes sense in light of the truth that everybody knows the “goody two shoes” of society are never beloved by many because people don’t typically like people who make their sinfulness blatantly obvious just by existing.
- A true follower of Christ, (Christian) often doesn’t even have to say anything. Just by the way they live evil people with wicked hearts understand that this person is better than me somehow. I don’t know why but I don’t like it. What I’ve described is a feeling more secretly normalized than you’d think.
- Yup, evil people are jealous of the goodness of righteous folks and THAT is what pushes them to persecute children of God all over the world in one shape or form since the fall in the garden of Eden. Across cultures and civilizations past and present this is a global human fact. The people of the Kingdom of God are hated and attacked by the children of darkness all around the world for their goodness.
- THE CREATOR unquestionably prefers goodness to evil and since true goodness cannot be faked, there in lays the dilemma of evil men. Everyone hates rejection yes but especially rejection from God. GOD’s acceptance however (the ultimate acceptance) has very clear requirements and standards. Therefore the evil man must be envious of the righteous man because even if he consciously denies it, his soul knows the truth that humans were not built to exist apart from God long term, so spending ETERNITY separated from GOD (essentially what hell is ) is too steep a price to agree to pay and too risky a gamble to willingly make just to entertain your sin on earth and buy a bunch of stuff that you must loose ownership of the moment you die. It’s a dumb card to play and a foolish deal to make and every spirit (born or not) knows it innately.
- Every human being is born with a compass in form of a conscience. You may choose to dull or numb your responses to doing evil but you will never get used to it. Deep down your heart will always know that you’re wrong and your compass can always tell you what is actually right in contrast. Humans don’t have to be told about what goodness is because they are encoded to recognize both good and evil when they see it, even if only subconsciously. Some how deep down we all instantly know what is right that’s why judge ourselves long before anyone else gets a chance to. That shame of falling short of what your soul knows to be right is what turns into guilt and can get eventually twisted into envy against the person who IS being upright, ie aligned with The CREATOR’s Will and therefore accepted by Him. Which is a big deal in ANY corner of the world you go and understandably worthy of envy.
- Ignoring your conscience overtime doesn’t mean you stop recognizing godliness/goodness when you see it just like turning off your alarm clock doesn’t mean you stopped time. You recognize it because deep down your soul recognizes anything or person who resembles your Source, GOD. It’s that way by design. Repentance can only come from choosing to course correct unto the right way instead of continuing in your sin. That’s the only way out of that path to murderous envy y’all be on.
- Evil people hate godly people because of how they make them feel about their choices, lifestyles and inevitable ending. This animosity is not so much about wealth or affluence (although it can be), but more-so about the spiritual knowing we all have of our standing with God and the deepest father wound that is possible when you’re aware of your personal failure in pleasing Him because you are choosing rebellion over obedience. I believe this hatred is actually very common but usually hidden and unexpressed until there’s an ‘sudden, random’ outburst because it’s exactly how Abel made Cain feel. Not by doing anything to him but just by living his life as best he knew how before God and THAT was enough to trigger the evil heart into rage enough to murder him. Sadly that was the first but wouldn’t be the last time a righteous person made a person with a wicked heart angry just for being good.
- Think about it, the Sanhedrin hated Jesus unto the point of setting up, financing and politicking their path to killing Him all BECAUSE they envied the fact that He was simply more righteous than them and the people knew it and it could not be denied. He was better, That’s it. Especially in religious settings, where the very perception godliness is adjacent to power and influence, yes, people can kill in envy of and hatred for anyone who has it.
- Quick suggestion; perhaps consider that If just watching someone be more godly than you is that maddening enough to make you envy them to the point of murder or slander or both then that’s probably your queue to change. For instance, here’s a novel idea, how about I donno BECOMING GOOD? 🤯 what a crazy idea right? It’s almost like you just obeying God would save you from feeling like you have to kill and slander people for being good. Wild. Just a thought evil ones, just a thought. Mmmight wanna try that first before eternally damning yourself. Just saying. 🤷🏽♀️
Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
– Mathew 5:13-16
- Christians are strategically placed where they are as loving reminders from God demonstrating the right way to go. If you ignore the private warnings of God long enough, you will eventually be left to yourself. God’s love however will often leave a few people around you as gentle reminders of right living and witnesses against your rebellion so you can never say, I didn’t know. As you can imagine, the darker society collectively gets, the harsher and more hostile it becomes to these strategically placed lights and speckles of salt sprinkled across the world by God. So hostile against righteousness in fact that many Christians begin to hide and dim down their brightness and saltiness to fit in by trading compromise, silence and passivity for acceptance.
- I understand how tempting it is to capitulate and assimilate to a culture of sin. It can be enticing to consider just going with the flow and joining the practice of evil because It is very hard to be disliked by people. Little wonder then that there are so many fake Christians these days. Say one thing, believe another and do yet another type of Christians. Their decision makes sense for now because most people are deathly afraid of being hated and rejected especially for being real children of God, which is strange because they also want the piety and reputation of goodness that comes from godliness by truly being one of those children of God. Wouldn’t it be easier to just be what you already are? Instead they twist themselves into pretzels trying to balance loving the world and loving GOD. The don’t realize how quickly they become two-faced and double minded in everything. They live lives filled with so many lies they’ve managed to scam even themselves out of God’s purpose for their existence, being totally captured by a doomed quest to be all things to all people, everything except Christ-LIKE, the very brand they claim. They’re trying to eat their cakes and keep em too. That’s cute. Dumb, but cute.
- That naive yet wildly popular attempt to serve two masters is how we get situations where the “Christians” in the friend group are in every way that counts virtually indistinguishable from the unbelievers among them. So their testimonies becomes useless and their counsel on life carry no weight. God is simply not visible in them so why would the unsaved think they any different enough to be consulted or listened to? Whatever purpose you were placed in that circle for becomes effectively neutralized when you’re a fake Christian. Guess who’s celebrating that scenario of your saltlessness though, definitely not GOD.
- For real team lukewarm out here looking crazy jumping through hoops and juggling balls trying to fit in everywhere but the presence of God. Well if that’s the path you’ve chosen, Godspeed to you. You very well may be in heaven but be very aware that that’s all you’re getting at Bema. 🤷🏽♀️
- On the other hand, if you, dear true Christian find yourself hated for being righteous and punished for raising the standard in your own way, in the place that God has positioned you, hang in there and lean heavy on The HOLY SPIRIT. Also be aware that the enemy will use anyone he can around you to try to break your spirit, shift your focus and tone your light down. Wanna hear something wilder? The Lukewarm Christians would probably be your biggest ops because No one hates a true Christian more than a fake one. You offend them deeply because your walk with God is proof that they could’ve been real ones if they actually wanted to. You confront the facade of both their faces and reveal their hypocrisy just by existing and it’s uncomfortable. If they happen to be proud or religious on top of that? in addition to their fakeness? Then they’ll even find your purity insulting. “Who does he think he is being that real?” “It doesn’t take all that” they foolishly think to themselves unaware of the danger their souls are in and like Cain would probably cowardly take out their inadequacies on you on the low because you know, appearances matter to this lot more than life itself. Thats why the devil keeps easily finding allies in them against you. All that simply because they would rather work by the flesh while claiming Jesus than yield to The HOLY SPIRIT.
- Not being afraid or allowing yourself be discouraged and dwelling in GOD constantly is the only way I’ve found that can help with all the oppositions we face because it can be the closest people to you on the attack and if you don’t run to God daily you will needlessly suffer more that you should or worse, get your heart injured in the process and become evil yourself. Evil people make evil people.
- Find ultimate solace in understanding that they won’t have us around for their benefit forever. Time will come and The Father will separate and they’ll be left to themselves to be evil to their hearts content therefore sealing their fates forever in destruction. When the period of grace ends, that’s it. So as hard as it is, for now, let us be light and salt to this world until time is up and we leave. Until then, encourage yourself in The LORD knowing that this phase is almost over.
Always Remember, it’s any day now. #teamsaltandlight #Jesusiscoming
