The Unchanging Realities Of A Sent One.
“If you’re a believer and God has called you to an assignment, you are dangerous to be around in disobedience.
GOD doesn’t make mistakes and he rarely changes His mind.
Honestly, if you don’t find Jonah’s story as narrated by God fascinating at the very least, something is wrong somewhere with you. You don’t have to be Christian to admit the awesomeness of that story just objectively speaking. I suggest you read the basic gist here but this blog focuses on the fact that those poor unfortunate souls onboard the ship Jonah attempted to use for his ill-informed getaway, almost died just because he was with them.
Question; Who are you in a ship with that is currently in disobedience to God? and what storm is headed your way or are currently in on their account?
But Honey, everyone has free Will. You mean like Jonah did? How many times must this be said? SOME PEOPLE don’t get to disobey GOD and live Willy Nelly in peace. That’s not an option for this group. Ok?
Long story short? Their misguided attempts to flee from destiny is bound to be futile. It’s very important to check and keep an eye on those around you and find out if they are secretly close to God and are peradventure currently fleeing from God’s directive to them on anything. I’m telling you this now for free. Beside such a one is the most dangerous place to be standing.
On another note, Can you believe that Jonah had the guts to be sound asleep while the crew was trying not to get shipwrecked? Dude even waited for them to cast losts and only then did he confess that the storm was on his account. Well at least the guy didn’t play dumb and lie like he didn’t know God was after him BECAUSE of what he had done. Some people at that point will still be delusional or negligently stupid or just plain rebellious.
Seriously, It’s like some people would have to be severely damaged to finally get the memo. Might be shocking but not every storm in your life is from your enemy. As we see here, GOD be sending some storms your way to check your ass too. Question is how much pain is it going to take to get your attention? At what point will you fall in line? What’s it gonna take?
Better wise up. The storms in some people’s lives right now is because of the sent ones in rebellion who are on their ships OR you’re the Jonah on the run sound asleep about to have to confess and be tossed off a boat to save some other people’s lives and spend days in the depths of isolation. Rememberrrrr I’ve been there beforrrrre. Wrote all about itttt. Your welcommmmme. Wake up nowwww, snap out of iiiiitttt. Nuff saaaaaaaid.
That’s why it’s WISE to walk ONLY with the wise and surround oneself with godly people with the fear of the LORD who are interested in and committed to staying godly, who are focused on and preoccupied by pursuing their own assignments in collaboration with The Holy Spirit and who have no qualms whatsoever checking your righteous ass right back into alignment with God’s purpose to save your life and who simultaneously don’t have any problem receiving corrections from you when they need it but embrace and are grateful for it. See now why these new friendship standards of mine have me out here alone? That’s fine, I’ll wait. Better done right than another round of foolishness for me. No thanks, I’m good. All these don’t judge me relationships are never gonna be for me again. Anyone who would rather watch me crash than speak up and is allergic to being corrected is not for me and that’s a-Okay.
What’s more? Both irons in question need to WANT to be sharpened and to sharpen and keep at it. What passed as sharp yesterday may not fly tomorrow. Sooo you’re gonna stay dull or get a tune up? That’s why I need to surround myself with people on the same path with God and I. I need sharpening and I want to sharpen others but that only works when we’re made of the same material. If only one person is interested it won’t work. If iron tries to sharpen plastic or wood, it won’t work either. All you’ll get is a dull iron and a damaged other material. So like minded and spiritually aligned friendships/relationships are no longer a choice they are the only way forward. These aren’t times to be endangering one’s life playing around with people who take their walks with God unseriously. How can they take you seriously when they treat GOD with levity?
For iron to keep sharpening iron, first we both must be iron. Second, we each have to already be sharp. Next we must want to stay sharp together. I can’t stress enough the importance of keeping yourself sharp and those you’re doing life with sharpened as well so that we don’t mess around and become casualties of each other’s foolish disobedience to GOD. I’ve seen that, I don’t want it.
As for how GOD picks ‘em people who must obey Him, Don’t look at me, I don’t know how He decides these people. All I know is that AS SOVEREIGN, He chooses who to force into His Will and when and who not to. To me it seems quite random. For instance of all the kings of Egypt why did God choose that particular pharaoh to exert His Will over? Donno, there are many things only He could explain to us.
You better find out though if you’re on that list. I know I am. So if you see me out here being obedient? it’s not without sense. It is for MY VERY LIFE, k? That’s how I know without a shadow of doubt that ANYONE who tries to get me to disobey GOD, either is or is working for my enemy. Period. If God says A and you say B, that’s on bet behind me satan to you. Boom. I’m not out here tryna get taken out or re-benched because your ass can’t pray to make sure your council to me is from the Holy Spirit before you open your mouth to me. No sir/ma’am forgive me, I respectfully object and I’m gonna do what God said in spite of your council. Crazy as it might look, I’m not living to please you so you’ll be fine. As long as God is clapping when I’m done. I’m good.
While I can empathize with Jonah’s resistance to warn his enemies of their impending doom, I am grateful for God’s immense love has and the great lengths He would go to rescue humans from themselves.
To the proverbial ‘Jonah on the run’ don’t be a dummy. Turn back now and get onboard GOD’s plan for you before you hurt yourself and shipwreck the people around you. God wasn’t trying to hurt Jonah, He was trying to give him a second chance. How many chances have you already rejected and ignored?
Lastly, let’s be real and acknowledge what a cool, chaotic but cute, weirdly trusting and inspiringly honest relationship that was between GOD and Jonaaaah. No matter your convictions on faith, you must agree, Jonah’s is a widely entertaining story.”

The Wrap-up
To discover your enemy and know the tactics deployed against you and still do nothing to safeguard your life (and the life of those around you) is the very definition of folly. Thank You Holy Spirit.
