These will be short and sweet, straight-to-the-point posts about stuff. Think of them as tweets but not on Twitter.
So What IS “My Type”?
I don’t have a physical preference type and I’ve always known that. Being intellectually attracted to someone is always nice but that’s not even it either. I’ve only now discovered at 33 that I’ve been missing the most vital part, the spiritual criteria. I don’t know how I missed it but I shouldn’t have.
My mother told me her husband was chosen for her by God (of course there’s a whole story but no need to tell it here) but judging from the toast my parents each wrote on their wedding invitation cards, My father also seemed to be convinced that she was chosen for him as well. So now in their absence, I am pleased to have finally learned to submit to God’s process for a choice of a spouse as they did.
Now, BECAUSE I am a beneficiary of a union established by God for people and also I don’t trust myself to choose because I cannot see people’s hearts but God does, and that’s why I choose to trust Him completely to make this decision for me. Whatever he says, I’m in.
Basically, “My Type” is the godly man chosen by God for me.
