More specifically, you and GOD’s alone (of course). None of us was ever given the ministry of humbling anybody else. You are to humble your own self OR God will do it for you. That’s it, those are our options.
These days, lottttsss of people try to ‘help’ humble others though. Aww how generous of you to help; Pray tell, have you managed to complete the task of humbling your OWN self first? or does that come after? You don’t see how being hyper aware of pride in others is perhaps the clearest indication of it being in your heart?
Yes pride is grievous enough for God to hate it, why, it’s right up there along with lying and all the famous sins we so focus on so careful now, you’re gonna want to watch out for that sneaky heart monster. After all it is why mr lucifer is now where and who he is. If someone who used to be allowed that geographically close to GOD can be cast so far away for being prideful (just in his mind btw) then how far away do you reckon you’ll end up if you persist in a prideful heart posture?
This isn’t an indictment on others, it’s a warning to everyone to keep themselves in check. Just don’t allow anyone else try to do it for you. Any pride police is mostly likely the proud owner of a proud heart trying to mask theirs with projection. God is the judge of pride so don’t be bullied.
In my opinion this is a solo business each of us must handle under GOD alone and with the guidance of parents when you’re a child. James 4:10 says Humble yourselves [with an attitude of repentance and insignificance] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up, He will give you purpose]. OR Proverbs 6:16-19 that says Here are six things God hates,
and one more that he loathes with a passion:eyes that are arrogant,
a tongue that lies,
hands that murder the innocent,
a heart that hatches evil plots,
feet that race down a wicked track,
a mouth that lies under oath,
a troublemaker in the family.Donno bout you, but that sounds and feels like a GOD and you alone type situation to me. It’s not like stealing that others can be involved, rape, adultery, murder etc all those type of wrong doings require a third party. The ones on this list however seem like the types people think they can get away with people others are less likely to know of or assess as clearly guilty when committed. However also notice how there’s no word in scripture instructing others to humble you or you to take on job of humbling other people. We are each to focus on our own, it’s often more than enough and can sneak up on us anyway so one must constantly be alert. God speed everyone.
